Support Our Northwest Students!
On November 3, 2026 a 1.5% income tax levy will be on the ballot to support Northwest Local School District. Northwest Local School District has worked for years to maximize every taxpayer dollar through careful budgeting, operational efficiencies, grants, partnerships, and responsible financial planning.
Despite those efforts, rising costs and limited state funding have led the district into deficit spending. This levy will provide the funding needed to maintain the educational opportunities, programs, and services our community expects.

Impact of the Levy
Without additional funding, district officials project approximately $7 million in annual reductions beginning with the 2027-2028 school year.
Additionally, passage of the income tax levy will result in a significant reduction of property tax rates for school district residents.
